Marist Students are Supporting Heart to Heart International for Hurricane Relief

By: Daniella Inzerilli

Dear Marist Community,

As our mission statement goes, Marist is dedicated to leading ethical lives in the global community. We are a community dedicated to service and to helping others. As you may know, over 250 Marist students, as well as many more in the greater Marist community, reside in areas affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. As a community, we must come together and support those affected by these disasters.

The Student Government Association, in addition to club leadership across the college, has decided that we will support Heart to Heart International as our organization of choice for the hurricane relief effort. Here are some things to know about this incredible organization:

  • Heart to Heart International dedicates 100% of donations to the hurricane relief efforts
  • Less than 2% of HHI's revenues go toward administrative expenses, meaning 98% of your donation goes to those in need
  • All credit card processing fees are covered by TouchNet Information Systems, and 100% of the donation goes to the relief effort
  • Heart to Heart receives over $100 million in medicine and medical donations every year

  • We felt that Heart to Heart International would be a great organization to support, especially considering that 98% of the donations go to those in need. They even set up our own personalized donation page for Marist College.

    Donate today here: http://www.hearttoheart.org/marist-college/

Please remember: we would love if you supported Heart to Heart International, but you are encouraged to donate wherever you please. Thank you for your time and your contribution to this great cause. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by these terrible events.

    Sincerely,

    Matthew Marotti
